I’m pretty excited to be putting up my first blog on my new website, joannemohrland.com. I’ll be using it to keep you up to date on my latest news and adventures, some exciting projects I have in the works, and what I’m up to on my other social media platforms. Thanks for coming along on the journey with me.
Even though we have been experiencing the strangest year ever, I’ve stayed pretty busy. Of course, family always comes first, but I also went on a couple extended motorcycle rides, horseback rides, and many new adventures. This year is shaping up to be a busy one too, but I’ll be sure to share my adventures with you.
Besides staying busy with music and projects, I also spend several evenings a week with my sweetheart Mom, who just turned 87. I often take her dinner and we talk about the good old days. When life slows down as an older person, and new memories are hard to hold, it will be those old memories that get us through. So, I plan on making a lot more memories with my Mom over the next few years. Also, stay tuned for an upcoming podcast that will share some of my special experiences working with seniors over the last 20 years.
Hopefully, the live music arena will flow again soon, I really miss performing live. Music heals the soul and I know everyone is looking forward to returning back to normal. JoJo’s Mojo band is ready to put on a vibrant performance to shake off the stink of the past year and will be posting the dates of our upcoming events. We plan to be at the fairs, festivals, and venues as soon as things open back up, so watch for us!
Until then, I’ve started putting up weekly videos from my studio, “the Mojo Den”, to keep busy and give you some entertainment until I can see you in person. These will stream over on several social media platforms, so catch me on Facebook, Soundcloud, Instagram, Twitter, ReverbNation, Joanne Mohrland Music on Youtube, and my website, joannemohrland.com.
Share the LOVE, be KIND and “Catch the Mojo!!”
I have to give a shout out to Nikki Vandermeer. This young lady has quite an amazing story herself, but she currently teaches web design and development in Lewiston, Idaho. She is the reason I have a new website, and what a great job she did. I am more than grateful for her dedication to this project and getting this done. THANK YOU, NIKKI!
